My power steering fluid level is always about half empty (below the Minimum level) but filling the reservoir just causes it to drain down, although it never goes completely empty. So I crawled under the car to find the leak, and sure enough there is clear leakage at the speed sensor in the transmission, and at the gearbox on the rack. The system works, and it would probably be really expensive to repair it, so I choose to ignore this problem.

body filler
The coolant level hasn’t changed since I added some on the 10th. That’s good. I used some crappy spray paint to paint the wiper arms since the bare metal was producing a nasty glare. I patched a big hole in the right front wheel well with some body filler. I’ll let it harden overnight and then sand and paint it tomorrow.

door switch
I’ll get pictures soon, really. I used sand paper and WD-40 to remove the rust frorm all the door switches so that those work now. And I bent the trunk switch back so that it works too. So the light comes on when I open the doors or the trunk. I also adjusted the throttle cable a little so that hopefully it doesn’t stick anymore. Only time will tell.

coolant loss
I had to add some coolant, the overflow tank was empty. I sure hope I’m not losing coolant, I don’t know where it would be from though. I think I’d see other signs if the head gasket were leaking, and I should be able to notice if the leak was from the heater core.

hood release
I fixed the hood release. The latch was a out of alignment, and the release lever had come loose from it’s clip. Now my hood opens like it should……more or less.
